Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the over charge persistency of a silver oxide secondary cell by adding a certain quantity of fibroblastic graphite to argentous oxide as a positive electrode compounding agent of the cell. CONSTITUTION:The positive electrode compounding agent 1 composed of mainly argentous oxide, a separator 3 and the negative electrode 5 composed of amalgamated zinc are accomodated in a positive electrode can 2. A circular gasket 6 is set between the opening part of the positive electrode can 2 and a negative electrode can 4, then they are closed up tightly to form a silver oxide secondary cell. As the positive electrode compounding agent 1 of the cell, the agent prepared by adding 0.1-1.5pts.wt. of fibroblastic graphite to 100pts.wt. argentous oxide is used.
