Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable high reliability and secure electric connections by arranging thermosetting adhesives, having a conduction part filled with Ag paste, between terminals of a liquid-crystal display element and driving circuit substrate.
CONSTITUTION: For connections between electrode terminals 2 and signal terminals 5 of liquid crystal display element 1 and circuit substrate 3 provided with circuit element 4, thermosetting adhesive sheet 6a, such as epoxy adhesives, having openings filled with Ag paste 6b as many as connection terminals 2 and 5 is used as a connector. Connector 6 is bonded and fixed onto terminals 5 with the paste 6b surface down and, after terminals 2 of element 1 are coated with a silane coupling agent, etc., is joined by being hardened at about 130W150°C and about 4kg/cm2. Thus, the strong connections are made and breakaway and connection defectives, etc., are eliminated.
