Abstract

PURPOSE: A titled dehydrator of effective pressing an filtering works composed by being so constituted as to perform filtering and pressing by gradually narrowing the spacing between two sheets of filter cloths travelling by sandwiching a slurry, by air pressure or the like.

CONSTITUTION: A slurry 3 is injected between two sheets of filter cloths 4, and is so sandwiched by the right side of a left driving part 14 and the left side of a central driving part 1 as to become wider in the upper part and narrower in the lower part, in which state it is moved downward. While in this state it is being filtered out of its water content, it goes round the lower circumference of the pulley 23 of the driving part 1 and is moved upward by being sandwiched by the right side of the driving side 1 and the left side of the right driving part 2 in such a manner that it becomes narrower in the upper part. The slurry 3 of the filter cloths 4 is further pressed by a pressing device and cake 35 is discharged by way of the upper circumference of the pulley 24 of the driving part 2. The filter cloths 4 are then returned to above the left side of the driving part 1 by way of the roller 29 in a filter cloth washing device 28 in the lower part, an adjusting roller 39 for the filter cloths 4, a filter cloth tensing roller 31, and guiding rollers 32, 33. Here, the filter cloths 4 are pressed by air pressure or the like in the pressure acting part A of said pressing device so that filtrate is sucked by vacuum in a filter-acting part B according to need.
