Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep a coil temperature and to extend insulating life by providing a means to sense the temperature of rotary electric machine having a plurality of blowers, and changing the number of operating blower-driving motors based on the sensed value. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 18 is provided in a rotating electric machine having cooler and a plurality of blowers 111-118. The amount of cooling-air ventilation is regulated by changing the number of operating blowers based on the sensed value. In order to change the number of the operating blowers, for example, the voltage which is proportional to the sensed temperature is compared with reference voltages Vs1-s4 whose values are different each other. If the sensed voltage has exceeded the reference value, a relay 22 which is connected to a comparator 20 is actuated, and the power is supplied to a corresponding blower-driving motor 12. In this constitution, the temperature of stator coil can be kept constant, insulating life can be extended, and the energy can be conserved.
