Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent peeling off of an insulating layer of coil to be generated by variation of temperature and to contrive to elongate the life of an electric rotary machine by a method wherein the temperature of exhaused cooling air is detected, and the speed of motor for driving of blowers is controlled as to make temperature rise of the machine thereof to be fixed. CONSTITUTION:The blowers 11A, 11B of the plural number are equipped on the outside circumferential part of a stator frame 6 interposing the prescirbed interval between them to send cooling air into the stator frame, and a ventilation route is formed wherein after cooling is performed making air to pass in a ventilation flue from a rotor to a stator 4a, air is made to circulate from an exhause hole 7 passing in a cooler 10 and returning to the blowers 11 again. An element 22 for detection of temperature is provided in the exhaust hole 7 to detect the temperature of cooling air after cooling is performed, and after a detected signal is processed in the signal processing part 19, the motors 12A, 12B for driving of the blowers are controlled by the speed controlling parts 20 as to make temperature rise to be fixed. Accordingly overheating and overcooling are not generated, and damage of insulation to be generated by thermal expansion and contraction can be prevented.
