Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the generation of vortex and at the same time increase the accuracy of measurement under any conditions of operation, by increasing the length of the upstream side more than that of the downstream side of the vortex generator at the upstream side among the vortex generators having the pierced holes. CONSTITUTION:The vortex generator 2a with the lower bottoms d1 and d2 of an isosceles trapezoid plus the rectangular vortex generator 2b having the length d3 of the side are disposed at the upstream side within the sucked air path 3 in such way that the pierced hole 1 may be formed. When the sucked air flows, the Karman vortex B is produced alternately across the generators 2a and 2b, and at the same time the alternating current flows in the same cycle also within the hole 1. If the relations of d1-d3 of the vortex generator having such constitution as mentioned above are set as d1>d2 and d2approx.=d3 each, the fluctuation factor of the alternating current is decreased. Thus the detector 4 is installed within the hole 1 of the vortex generator to measure the alternating current flowing thrugh the hole 1. In such way, a measurement is possible for the flow rate of the Karman vortex having a small flucttuation factor.
