Abstract

PURPOSE:To alleviate the loss of a switching transistor by employing a thyristor for a control unit. CONSTITUTION:A sawtooth voltage is applied from an integrating circuit having a resistor 8 and a capacitor 9 connected across a feedback winding 6 to the gate of a thyristor 7 in the state that a switching transistor 1 is sufficiently saturated, a base current is flowed to the thyristor 7 upon conduction of the thyristor 7, charged voltage of the capacitor 3 is simultaneously applied between the base and the emitter of the transistor 1, thereby flowing a reverse base current so as to break the transistor 1 forcibly thereby. Since the enable state of the transistor 1 can be shortened in operating duration in this manner, it can be sufficiently saturated until the transistor 1 is broken. Since reverse base current can be flowed largely, the falling time can be improved so as to alleviate the switching loss of the transistor.
