Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce NOx in an exhaust gas and also to decrease noises by providing an auxiliary port through which to inject a little quantity of auxiliary fuel to other cylinders concurrently with a main fuel injection through an outlet port of a plunger of a distributing type fuel injection pump on said plunger.
CONSTITUTION: A distributing type fuel injection pump 1 supplies and injects a main fuel to an auxiliary combustion chamber (9a as illustrated) of a cylinder of those 9W12 which works final for compression stroke from a main fuel injecting outlet port 4 provided on a plunger reciprocating as turning in a cylinder 2 through distributing passages 5W8 provided on the cylinder 2 at given intervals. In this case, a small diametral auxiliary port 13 is provided on the plunger 3 apart at a given interval from said port 4 in the rotary direction. When said port 4 comes through to the distributing passage 5 which is through to the cylinder working final for compression stroke, the auxiliary port 13 gets through to the distributing passage 7 working final for suction stroke.
