Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration in power performance due to a fuel temperature rise by leading a fuel on a feed pump discharge side which is less fluctuating in temperature derectly to a high-pressure chamber without passing the interior of a pump case, in a distributing type injection pump of self-lubricating system.
CONSTITUTION: In an injection pump of a Diesel engine, a fuel sucked in through a fuel inlet port 1 is discharged by a feed pump 2, supplied partly into an internal chamber 5 of a pump case 4 through a passage 3 and thus cools down and lubricates sliding parts of internal governor mechanism, automatic angle leading device, etc. In such a device, an arrangement is such that a fuel to lead to a high-pressure chamber 12 of a plunger mechanism 9 is not allowed to come therein as high in temperature through the internal chamber 5 as conventional in practice, but a part of the fuel discharged from the feed pump 2 is led directly to the high-pressure chamber 12 through a passage 18 bypassing the internal chamber 5 of the pump case 4. The passage 18 is constituted with a tube member 22 or the like which is covered with an adiabatic material 24.
