Abstract

PURPOSE: An oxide type magnetic material which changes its characteristics only slightly in a high temp. range with the lapse of time generating low electric power loss comprising consisting of a sintered ferrite contg. specific compsn. such as MnO, ZnO, etc. having the minimum value of the electric power loss at >150°C and Curie temp. at >250°C.
CONSTITUTION: A ferrite sintered body contains a basic composition consisting of 13W33mol% MnO, 6W20mol% ZnO, 9W25mol% at least one of NiO, MgO and LiO and 45W52mol% Fe2O3. This is used to form an oxide magnetic material of high temperature range use, low aging change, low power loss, characterized by minimum of the power loss at >150° and a Curie temperature at >250°C. In contrast with conventional product, the material is improved in the magnetic unstability which appears at high temperature range (about 200W300°C), and causes little aging change. This high stability magnetic ferrite material is suitable for a light source of the fluorescent lamp.
