Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the flexure of a filament due to thermal expansion by securing the filament to the central portion of a curved ribbon conductor having both ends fixed to a conductive supporter and to the top of a central conductive supporter. CONSTITUTION:Three conductive supporters 12, 131, 132 are projected from an insulated supporting board 11. Both ends of a conductive ribbon supporter 18 curved approximately in symmetrical are secured to the sides of conductive supporters 131, 132 at the outside. One end of a filament 17 fixed with a cathode 16 constructed of a substrate metal 14 and an electron emission material layer 15 is secured to the top of a central conductive supporter 12 while the other end is secured to the central portion of the conductive ribbon supporter 18. Ni-W alloy (Ni 70%, W 30%) and Ni-Cr alloy (Ni 80%, Cr 20%) are employed respectively for the filament 17 and the conductive ribbon supporter 18 but other material may be employed.
