Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the atomization of air-fuel mixture and the combustibility due to exhaust gas reflux by mounting a cylindrical heater at the intake passage of the lower carburetor and providing an annular exhaust passage which guides part of exhaust gas into the outer surface of the heater.
CONSTITUTION: An electric heater 10 which generates heat in accordance with the signals of a water temperature sensor which is not illustrated is cylindrically arranged on the lower part of the primary throttle valve 13 in the primary intake passage 1. A cylindrical wall 11 with an annular exhaust passage 12 is concentrically formed on the outer surface of the heater 10. Part of exhaust gas is introduced to the exhaust passage 12 from an exhaust reflux passage 14 which is communicated through an exhaust gas induction port 13. The bottom of the cylindrical wall 11 is partly curved in the radial direction. As a result, the exhaust gas of the exhaust passage 12 is mixed at a right angle to the mixture which hangs down through the heater 10.
