Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a phosphorus removing agent with a low cost and excellent adsorption capacity by using a mixture of an alkali treated granulated slag and magnesium oxide as a phosphorus removing agent of water.
CONSTITUTION: As a phosphorus removing agent of a phosphorus containing exhaust water, a mixture obtained by mixing magnesium oxide into an alkali treated granulated slag obtained by subjecting a rapidly quenched slag from a steel making furnace to the alkal treatment is used. As described above, if magnesium oxide is combined with a granulated slag with a low cost and high phosphorus adsorption capacity, an excellent phosphorus removing agent with improved precipitation and separation properties from underwater and dehydration property is formed.
