Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure a safe and effective treatment for the hydrazine content waste fluid, by adding the carrier fixed with the copper to the hydrazine-contained waste fluid along with an exposure-to-air given via the oxygen content gas and under the specified conditions in order to give the oxidizing decomposition to the hydrazine and then separating the said carrier from the treated water.
CONSTITUTION: The carrier mixed with the copper is added to the waste fluid containing hydrazine as a catalyst, and then an exposure-to-air is given via the oxygen content gas such as the air or the like and under the condition of ≥2pH to give the oxidizing decomposition to the hydrazine. Then the said carrier is separated from the treated water. The whole of a part of the separated carrier is added again to the hydrazine-contained waste fluid. The carrier is treated when necessary with the mineral acid and then with the copper compound for reproduction to be then used again. The oxygen-contained gas are preferably used at the composition ratio of about ≥21% (volume) oxygen.
