Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable 2-color copying at low cost, by providing photoconductive layers each having sensitivity only to a chromatic color in the part of the visible light region different from each other and transmitting the other light in succession on a conductive substrate and imparting chargeability to both polarity to at least one layer.
CONSTITUTION: A ZnO-resin dispersion type primary photoconductive layer having sensitivity only to a chromatic color (light A) in the part of visible light region and a ZnO-resin dispersion type secondary photoconductive layer transmitting light A and having sensitivity only to a chromatic color (light B) are provided successively on a conductive substrate to form an electrophotographic composite photoreceptor, and chargeability to both polarity is imparted to at least one of the ZnO used for the primary and secondary layers. The photoconductive layers having sensitivity only to color A or color B can be obtained by using a proper amount of spectral sensitizer. This photoreceptor can obtain a 2-color copy at low cost, and can separate colors easily.
