Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain multiple copies without degrading image quality by laminating a photoconductive layer which has sensitivity to light of a certain wavelength region and another photoconductive layer which transmit this light and has sensitivity to light of a wavelength region differing from that of said layer, on a conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: A photoconductive layer 11 which has sensitivity to A-color light in the state that it is held charged to positive or negative and a photoconductive layer 12 which has sensitivity to the B-color light differing from the A-color light in the same state as this and allows the good transmission of the A-color light are provided on a conductive substrate 10 to constitute the photoreceptor 1. As a result of this, the photoreceptor portions corresponding to the B-color image of the original are radiated by the B-color light but since only the photoconductive layer 12 is made conductive, the distributions of the negative charges in said portions are still maintained invariable. Hence, the leakage in the charges constituting the electrostatic images and gradual decrease in image quality upon repetition of the transfers of visible images do not occur.
