Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent cracks and dielectric breakdowns by housing two secondary coils into a stacked injection type case through a spacer in a molded ignition coil for simultaneous ignition having two coils wound independently as secondary coil. CONSTITUTION:A primary coil bobbin 12 is wound with a primary coil 14 in such a manner that enamel wire is wound on several layers ten times per each totaling 100-300 turns. On the other hand, a secondary coil bobbin is woud with a secondary coil 18 in such a manner that enamel wires are wound on layers several hundred times per each totaling about 4,000-15,000 turns. Two coils 18 wound around the bobbin 16 are stacked through inter-coil spacer 20 and housed in an injection type case 22 with leading ends of both coils connected to each other. This maintains the insulation dimensions between coils constant thereby increasing the mechanical strength between coil stages. Accordingly, cracks become hard to develop between coil stages thereby preventing possible dielectric breakdown.
