Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a heat-resistant welding steel having a high resistance to age- embrittlement, having a specific composition with C, Si, Mn, Ni, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A heat-resistant welding steel, consisting of 0.02W0.15% C, 0.5W 2.5% Si, 0.5W2% Mn, 11W15% Ni, 19W25% Cr, 0.3W1.2% Al, 0.3W1.5% Ti, 0.1W0.3% N, and Fe and inevitable impurities, is improved in weldability, creep strength at high temperatures, and fatique strength at high temperatures, as well as having a high resistance to long-term age-embrittlement. Also, the toughness of the steel can be improved by the addition of 0.1W0.5% Nb to the said composition, and furthermore, the crystallization of coarse crystal M23C6 can be prevented and also the resistance to age-embrittlement can be largely improved by the addition of Mn and Ti having a compositional effect in the formation of their carbides in such a way that Cr-2(Mn+5Ti) value is 7W17% and Mn+5Ti value is 2W7%.
