Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the production of distortion due to the base-to-emitter voltage, by making constant the difference of the base-to-emitter voltage between the input transistor and the transistor of the next stage, in the broad band amplifier using bipolar transistors. CONSTITUTION:The input signal VIN is input to the base of the transistor TRQ1, and the emitter output is input to the base of the TRQ2 of the next stage. The current Miller circuit 1 which supplies the current of a given ratio to the two TRQ1 and TRQ2, is provided and the ratio of supply current to TRsQ1, Q2 can be kept constant by selecting the emitter resistors R3, R4 of TRsQ3, Q4. Denoting the base- to-emitter voltages of TRsQ1, Q2 as VBE1, VBE2, emitter circuit resistors of TRsQ2, Q4 as R1, R2, and the output voltage as VOUT, the voltage is expressed in equation 1. By keeping VBE1-VBE2 as constant, the voltage VOUT is independently of VBE of each transistor, allowing to avoid the production of distortion due to the voltage VBE.
