Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively use a pulverized carbonaceous adsorbent as fuel in the system without discharging outside the system by a method wherein the carbonaceous adsorbent pulverized in the system of the dry-type desulfurization process is subject to a combustion treatment in the system.
CONSTITUTION: In the waste gas desulfurization process, pulverization occurs to the carbonaceous adsorbent during its move in a adsorption column 2 and desorption column 3. The pulverized carbonaceous adsorbent is extracted from line 21 and guided into a combustion furnace 9, where it is combusted and used as heat source for a dry distillation furnace 7 or an activation furnace 8. Such a combustion process contributes to an effective utilization as fuel without discharging out of the system harmful substance such as sulfur oxide included in the carbonaceous adsorbent.
