Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable continuously to measure the concnentration of tritium by a method wherein a plural number of moisture aborption material containing absorbent in it are installed and the sample gas is alternately made flow in them to be absorbed with moisture continuously.
CONSTITUTION: Switch valves 9a, 10a of branch pipe 7a are made open, and switch valves 9b, 10b of branch pipe 7b are closed and further, pump 5 is operated. The exhausted gas is extracted from roof ventilator 1 and meanwhile, let absorbent 14 in moisture absorption material 8 capture moisture. After the specified quantity of gas is made to pass, switch valves 9a, 9b, 10a, 10b are changed-over while moisture absorption material 8 is made to absorb moisture. Absorption material 8 on the other side is removed, power is supplied to heater 19 to make moisture vaporize and the vaporized moisture is cooled and condensed. By measureing the concentration of tritium in this moisture, the continuous measurement is made feasible.
