Abstract
PURPOSE:To make exact measurement regardless of various moisture contents and the degrees thereof by humidifying as low-moisture gaseous sample by a humidifying means to the concn. at which the gaseous sample can be dehumidified by a cooling type dehumidifier just before the dehumidifier. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust flue gas is introduced from an introducing port 2 into a gas flow passage. The humidifier 6 consists of a spiral pipe 61 having steam permeability and a water storage tank 62 which holds the pipe 61 in water and increases the moisture concn. in the gas to be passed in the pipe up to about 1wt.%. The gas from the humidifier 6 is dehumidified uniformly down to the satd. steam content thereof, i.e., about 0.7wt.% in the dehumidifier 5. The gas for SO2 measurement having the specified moisture content is thereby supplied to a detector regardless of the various moisture contents or the fluctuation therein and the concn. of SO2 in the exhaust flue gas is measured at a stable base line.
