Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce an established shocking absorbing force by installing a flow control valve between a cylinder and an accumulator subject to the hydraulic pressure of said cylinder and by controlling an orifice area in proportion to cylinder strokes by said flow control valve. CONSTITUTION:This shock absorbing device consists of a shock absorbing hydraulic pressure cylinder 1 which receives the force of impact produced by a moving body W and an accumulator 3 which receives the hydraulic pressure of said shock absorbing cylinder 1 and a flow control valve 2 which is installed between the shock absorbing hydraulic cylinder 1 and the accumulator 3. The flow control valve 2 has valve bodies 5 and 12 which form an attenuation orifice by the internal pressure of the accumulator 3 in proportion to the cylinder strokes of the shock absorbing hydraulic cylinder 1. This reduces the orifice area according to the cylinder strokes of the shock absorbing hydraulic pressure cylinder 1 and the orifice area receives the established resistance throughout all the strokes, thereby exerting a satisfatory shock absorbing force.
