Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve response, durability, etc. of a valve mechanism, by respectively providing the valve mechanism in one end part of a hollowed piston rod and a pressure chamber, communicated to a hollowed part of said piston rod, in the other end part. CONSTITUTION:If a piston 3 is moved downward, an extension side check valve 17 is only required to flow oil of an equal amount to the volume increase of an upper working chamber S1 in accordance with downward movement of the piston 3, while a compression side check valve 30 is only required to flow oil of an equal amount to the volume increase of a piston rod hollowed part 2a and pressure chamber S3 in accordance with the downward movement of the piston 3, and each valve 17, 30 is required for a less amount of lift to both improve durability of the valves 17, 30 themselves and prevent deterioration of a valve mechanism response due to delay closing or the like of these valves 17, 30.
