Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize vibrational energy to prevent powder from depositing on the water-feed section by a method wherein a vibrational water-feed section is installed in the midway of the powder transfer passage used for transporting powder from the powder storage tank to spray nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: Powder is forced to send by pressure from the powder storage tank 1 to powder transfer pipe 3a at the side of tank and is brought to the main pipe 10 at the water-feed section. A desired amount of water is mixed into the powder through liquid inlet pipe 13 and spray nozzle 14. The main pipe 10 at the water- feed section has a bellows hose 10a that causes vibration by reciprocating kinetic energy of a vibration generating pipe 10b generated by driving of a rotary device 21. The bellow hose 10a is also vibrated by transfer kinetic energy of powder being transferred and by energy of feed water energy. Such vibration prevents the mixture of powder and water from depositing on the hose 10a, on the vibration generating pipe 10b that connects to the hose 10a, and on connection pipe 10c at the side of nozzle. The powder-water mixture is transferred to the powder transfer pipe 3b at the side of the nozzle.
