Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect simple and highly efficient formation of atomized gas by producing uprising whirling flow of gas in atomization tank and at the same time specifying the quantity of liquid, etc.
CONSTITUTION: Kerosene supply to atomization tank 1 is specified to have a depth D of about 200mm. Also, the tank 1 is to have diameter L of about 50W150mmϕ and distance h of 50W100mm from buffle plate 7 to the liquid surface. Air supply pipe 9 is attached at the lower part of the tank 1 and tangent to the peripheral wall. Air supplied from the pipe 9 produces whirling uprising gas flow. Buffle plate 7 prevents large particles from discharging. Thus, atomization efficiency is greatly enhanced and is effective as output for combustion-use atomized fuel. As secondary effect, this enhances combustion efficiency.
