Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize the liquid column formed with an ultrasonic vibrator in an oil tank by surrounding thereof with a whirling air current while evenly mixing fine fuel particles separated from thereof efficiently.
CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic vibrator 1 is fixed on the bottom of an oil tank 3 into which oil is fed through a tube 5 and stored up to a certain level. The vibrator works to form a liquid column 2 on the liquid surface so that fine fuel particles are generated by the column. A fog conveying cylinder having an air inlet 4' close to the liquid surface is so arranged as to surround the liquid column, and the inlet 4' is formed with a proper clearance between the cylinder 4 and the oil level. One or multiple blow tubes 7 are tangentially connected to the surrounding wall of the oil tank 3 so that a whirling air current is provided to a clearance between the oil tank 3 and the cylinder 4 in the direction of the liquid surface. As the current arises through the cylinder 4 surrounding the liquid column 2, fine fuel particles separated from the liquid column 2 is fed to the combustion section as mixed with air.
