Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a coefficient switch dividing device which has the steady operation up to the higher limit of the frequency equal to the fixed divider, by providing the signal selection circuit part plus the selection control circuit part which gives a control to the operation of the above selection circuit part. CONSTITUTION:The dividing device consists of the 1/2-fixed divider 9, the signal selection circuit part 10, the 1/N divider 11 and the selection control circuit part 13 each. The input signal (a) is supplied to the circuit 10 after the 2-division 9 to deliver the logic product, i.e., the low-level signal of either one or both of the two different types of the division outputs (b) and (c) having the opposite phases to each other. The output (d) furthermore receives the N division 11 to produce the division output (e) of 2N+1 or 2N of the signal (a) at the output termnal 4. By the way, when the dividing device performs the 2N+1 dividing action, the output logic level of the part 13 switches with every production of the output of the divider 11. On the other hand, the output logic level of the part 13 is kept at a certain logic level in case the dividing device performs the 2N dividing action. And the part 10 executes an operation to deliver either one of the two diferent types of signals (b) and (c) which are delivered from the divider 9.
