Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily form a glass vessel having a pattern at the bottom by putting a molten glass parison into a mold consisting of a bottom mold with patterning molten glass poured and belly molds to mold the parison into the vessel and unite it with the patterning glass by melt sticking.
CONSTITUTION: Rotating mold 1 is used consisting of stand 8, divided belly molds 2, 2' freely openable right and left, and bottom mold 3 having patterned recess 5 enclosed by outline zone 4. Molds 2, 2' are opened to pour molten colored glass 22 into recess 5, and recess 5 is rotated. Parison 21 of molten glass performed on the tip of blowpipe 25 is put between molds 2, 2', and molds 2, 2' are closed. While rotating blowpipe 24, parison 21 is blown up, whereby it is allowed to closely contact with the inside of mold 1 and melt-stuck to colored glass 22 in bottom mold 3. Thus, glass vessel 20 having a pattern of colored glass 22 at the bottom is obtd.
