DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method of forming a pattern on the bottom surface of a blown glassware. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method of applying a pattern to the bottom surface of a blown glassware using a glass different from the glass of the main body of the glassware.
Conventional methods for creating uneven patterns on the bottom of blown glassware include Tokuko No. 6155 (1972) or Utility Model Publication No. 46 (1973).
As disclosed in No. 29564, etc., it is known that a rotating bottom mold is provided with an uneven shape, and an uneven pattern that matches the shape is applied to the bottom surface of a glassware. However, there are ways to add a pattern to the bottom of the glassware using a glass different from the glassware body (for example, colored glass for a colorless and transparent glassware body).
There is a method in which a molten glass different from the above-mentioned glass type is manually welded in a desired pattern shape to a parison preformed into a hollow shape at the tip of the blowpipe, and then the final blow molding is carried out in a blow mold. It's just known. However, this method required advanced skills on the part of the operator and had problems such as the shape of the pattern being inconsistent.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and provides a method for easily forming a pattern of glass different from the glass of the main body of the glassware in a constant shape on the bottom surface of a blown glassware.

That is, in the glass blow molding method, a bottom surface (a fixed bottom shape in non-rotary blow molding) that is rotatably provided with respect to the body of the mold is surrounded by a convex contour band. A patterned recess (or a drilled recess) is provided, molten glass for patterning is poured into the pattern recess, and then molten glass that will form a glassware body different from the molten glass is prepared at the tip of the blowpipe. The molded parison is inserted into the mold, and at the same time as blow molding, the glass poured into the patterned recesses is welded to form a glassware having a pattern on the bottom.

FIG. 1 shows a rotary blow mold 1 used in the glassware molding method according to this embodiment.
consists of a base 8, split body molds 2 and 2' which are provided to be able to be opened and closed left and right with respect to the base 8 and have a cork graphite layer on the mold surface, and a mold surface having a cork graphite layer as shown in FIG. It consists of a bottom part 3 having a patterned concave part 5 surrounded by a convex/contour band 4 at a constant height, and the bottom part 3 has a rotating shaft 6 fixed to the center of the back side of the base 8 at the center of the base 8. It is rotatably supported by passing loosely through a bearing hole 7 provided in the. Next, a method for forming a glassware according to this embodiment will be explained.

Prior to molding, the split barrel molds 2, 2' are opened and the cork graphite layer on the mold surface is impregnated with water in preparation for rotary blow molding. Subsequently, an amount of molten colored glass 22 corresponding to the volume of the patterned depression 5 surrounded by the convex contour band 4 is poured into the patterned depression 5 of the bottom mold 3. When the flow of the molten colored glass 22 is poor, use a spatula etc. to remove the contour band 4.
You may also take measures such as spreading it evenly throughout the interior.

Next, the opened split barrel molds 2, 2' are closed, and a parison 21 made of colorless and transparent molten glass, which has been preformed hollow at the end of the blowpipe 24, is inserted into the barrel molds 2, 2' (the third (see figure), while rotating the blowpipe 24, the blowing tube 24 is blown into the inner surface 11 of the mold 1. At this time, the colored glass 22 within the convex contour band 4 of the bottom mold 3 is attached to the parison 21 (therefore, the glassware body 2
3), and the bottom mold 3 rotates with the rotation of the blowpipe 24. The glass that has been blown out is taken out of the mold 1, separated from the blowpipe 24, and then finished by normal methods such as slow cooling and finishing of the mouth, resulting in a glassware 20 having a pattern of colored glass 22 on the bottom surface.

In this example, the bottom pattern is circular, but
Any pattern can be freely selected and adopted as long as it can be expressed by the concave pattern surrounded by the convex outline band 4, and double or triple colored bands are of course possible. It is also possible to pattern colored glass in a ring shape only on the periphery of the bottom, or to pattern colored glass in intermittent arc shapes on the periphery of the bottom. Furthermore, in this example, a rotary blow molding method using a rotating bottom mold was explained, but the present invention is a blow molding method using a fixed bottom mold in which the bottom mold does not rotate (the parison is placed inside the mold without rotating either the blowpipe or the mold). It goes without saying that this method can also be applied to methods of blowing air on the street.

As described above, according to the method of the present invention, a certain pattern can be easily formed on the bottom surface of a blown glassware using a glass different from the glass of the main body of the glassware.
