As a method of performing blow molding, for example, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 61-24337, a bottom mold capable of rotating around a vertical axis is disposed at the bottom of a body mold, and a colored melt is placed on the bottom mold. The glass is poured, a parison is inserted into the body mold, the bottom is fused and integrated with the molten colored glass, and the glass is rotated and blown to form a glass container (a glass or the like) with a colored glass pattern on the bottom. Methods are also known.

By the way, in the above-mentioned method of fusing and integrating a transparent glass and a colored glass to obtain a glass product patterned with the colored glass, the outline of the colored glass is converted into a design. In order to make a pattern with a shaped shape, it is necessary to manufacture a mold for press molding or centrifugal molding for each pattern, so there is a problem that the manufacturing cost of the mold is increased, and a plurality of colored glass is used. It is not suitable for forming a combined pattern, it tends to be expensive, and it is necessary to mass-produce the same colored pattern, and it is necessary to supply small lots and many kinds of products. There is a problem that it is not suitable. In the case of the centrifugal molding method or the rotary blow molding method, there is also a problem that the shape and pattern of a design that can be manufactured are limited by the rotation of the molding die.

[0010] As the thin metal plate constituting the forming die, one having heat resistance suitable for casting by pouring molten glass is used, and a metal material which is easy to cut out a circumferential cutout line is used. A plate, generally an iron plate, is used. When the cores are adjacent to each other, the peripheral cutout lines are formed by overlapping a part of the peripheral cutout lines of the adjacent cores. Further, the peripheral cutout line for forming the contour and the peripheral cutout line for forming the core may be partially overlapped.

According to the third aspect of the present invention, there is provided a plate-shaped or container-shaped glass product having a pattern of colored glass according to the present invention, wherein the forming die made of the thin metal plate is mounted on a support (usually a plate such as an iron plate). In the placed state, one of the cores defined by the peripheral cutout line for forming the core of the inner portion is removed, and the molten colored glass is poured into the formed space to lose the fluidity. After cooling to the temperature, remove one of the other cores, pour the other molten glass into the resulting space, and cool to a temperature at which the glass loses fluidity. It is characterized in that cooling is performed after removing the entire inner portion of the thin metal plate in contact with the peripheral portion, pouring in the transparent glass, and cooling the same.

Embodiment 1 FIGS. 1 to 5 show an outline of a step of forming a plate-like glass product from this example. Cores 22 and 23 as iron pieces are placed on an iron plate support 1. , 24, 25 are mounted on a template (iron plate) 2 having a thickness of about several mm. 2
Reference numeral 1 denotes an outer edge (peripheral portion) of the template 2. In FIG. 1, the cores 22 to 25 are in a state where they are fitted to the original positions of the cutouts. This is ready for molding. In this example, the stylized pattern is a turnip of vegetables.

In the above state, first, the core 23 (the white root of the turnip is designed) is extracted (see FIG. 2), and the flat space (cavity) thus formed is placed as shown in FIG. White molten glass 8 wound on a rod 7 (about 1100 ° C)
And spread it over the entire space with a pressing element (not shown) (see FIG. 4), and make the upper surface almost flat to lose the fluidity (generally, about 650 ° C. or lower).

Finally, the core 22 is removed (FIG. 5).
6) by pouring and cooling (gradual cooling) colorless and transparent molten glass so as to cover the voids formed thereby and the glass pieces 9 to 11 already formed, and removing the outer edge 21 in FIG. A plate-shaped glass product in which the pattern of Kabu is patterned on the inside of transparent glass is completed.

In the above-mentioned forming step, an appropriate amount of molten glass is poured into the space from which each core has been extracted, and the molten glass is spread by a pressing element. Since the core is not strongly fixed to the peripheral wall, the core in contact with the core can be easily removed. Further, the transparent glass is not necessarily limited to a colorless see-through type, and any transparent glass may be used as long as a patterned design can be seen through the naked eye, and may be colored and transparent.
Further, by making the surface of the iron plate support base 1 a pear ground or the like, it is possible to provide a fogged glass-like design effect.
