Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the load of a waste liquid treating system from being increased and the regenerating operation from being interrupted by collecting and recovering an ion exchange resin in a waste water from a regenerating tower by using two stage strainers with large openings and small openings respectively provided in series.
CONSTITUTION: A waste liquid of backwashing regeneration and chemical liquid regeneration is introduced into a strainer 18a with large openings from a cation resin regenerating tower 6 and an anion resin regenerating tower 8 through arranged pipes 15W17 and, moreover, introduced into a strainer 32a or 32b with small openings through an arranged pipe 31 and either a branched pipe 34a or 34b. Herein, a waste resin such as a crushed resin or the like is collected and removed and, thereafter, the waste liquid with high electroconductivity is transferred in a receiving tank with high electroconductivity through a control value 20b and an arranged pipe 21a and a waste liquid with low electroconductivity is transferred into a receiving tank 22b with low electroconductivity through a control valve 20b and an arranged pipe 21b.
