Abstract
PURPOSE: To obviate the necessity for the conventional resin storage tank, simplify facilities, and reduce cost of treatment, by providing jointly cation and anion exchange resin regenerating towers for condensed water desalting tower groups and then connecting them by a fixed method for the regenerating treatment of resins.
CONSTITUTION: The cation exchange resin regenerating tower 3 and the anion exchange resin regenerating tower 5 are jointly provided for a plural number of the condensed water desalting towers 1 for atomic power plant, etc. The desalting tower 1 requiring back washing and regeneration is separated by the conventional method, the resin in the tower 1 is treated in the regenerating tower 3 as in the conventional case, and then the treated resin is sent back to the desalting tower 1 through the piping 11. In the case when separation, back washing, and regeneration are made, the cation exchange resin is separated from the anion exchange resin at the regenerating tower 3, the anion exhange resin is sent through the piping 4 to the regenerating tower 5 and then sent back, after being back washed and regenerated, through the piping 12 to the regenerating tower 3, and the regenerated anion exchange resin is mixed with the cation exhange resin and then returned to the desalting tower 1 through the piping 11. Thus, the transferring process can be simplified and hence regenerating time can be shortened and also the amount of radioactive wastes to be treated can be reduced.
