Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove the carbon dioxide in the polluted air and also moisten the air by a method in which the air polluted with the carbon dioxide gas is dehumidified by zeolite, and then the air is deprived of its carbon dioxide gas by the zeolite and then brought into contact with a moisture-saturated silica gel to moisten the air, while the zeolite is subjected to a treatment to raise its carbon dioxide adsorbability.
CONSTITUTION: The polluted air with carbon dioxide gas is passed through valves 5', 4', 3', and 12 and pipe 9 into a moisture adsorption chamber 2', passed through a carbon dioxide gas adsorption chamber 1' housed with zeolite, and then released through the valve 12 into a room. Then, the polluted air is again passed through the conduit 9, a valve 5, a moisture adsorption chamber 2, a valve 4, a carbon dioxide adsorption chamber 1, a valve 3, conduit 11, a valve 8', the moisture adsorption chamber 2', a valve 6', and conduit 10. Thus, moisture and carbon dioxide present in the polluted air can be removed, and then the dried air is humidified with moisture diffused from the moisture adsorption chamber 2'. Thus, moistened clean air can be obtained.
