Abstract
PURPOSE: To operate a packed tower for an adsorbing agent at an optimum condition by providing a dew point detecting sensor of a dried gas at a drying gas outlet of two or more of the packed tower of the adsorbing agent, carrying out adsorption and regeneration alternately and maintaining a set value of dew point always without setting a fixed cycle for the adsorbtion and regeneration of the above described tower.
CONSTITUTION: A gas to be treated is dehumidified and passed from a four-way valve 2a of the titled apparatus to a packed tower 1b for an adsorbing agent and, after dried, discharged to a needed side through a four-way valve 2b. On the other hand, the regeneration is carried out by a method wherein air supplied under pressure at room temp. and atmospheric humidity is heated to a high temp. by a heater 3 and supplied to the packed tower 1a to heat the adsorbing agent and remove water therefrom, and discharged into the atmosphere through a valve 19 as a high temp. and high humidity air. Subsequently, the adsorbing agent is cooled by the air passed through a drying machine 4 and, thereafter, oxygen is filled into the tower through a valve 7a while the air in said tower is exhausted by a pump 10. To a dried gas outlet, a dew point sensor 17 is provided and the signal therefrom is sent to a control panel 18 to control a solenoid four-way valve 12 and the four-way valves 2a, 2b are switched.
