Abstract

PURPOSE: To allow an ozonizer to show 100% of the capacity in ozone yield in all seasons by setting a heater between a heat exchanger and an adsorption tower to uniformly regenerate an adsorbent.
CONSTITUTION: Hot humid air from blower 1 passes through heat exchanger 2, cooler 3, filter 4 and refrigeration type dryer 5, and enters adsorption tower 7a through change-over valve 6a. In tower 7a the air is dehumidified, and the dehumidified air is ozonized in ozonizer 9. Part of this dehumidified air enters exchanger 2 through reducing valve 10 and is turned into hot air, which is then fed into adsorption tower 7b through heater 13 and valve 6b. At this time, temp. sensors 14b, 12b detect the temp. of the air to operate or stop heater 13. The air heated to a fixed temp. flows downward and regenerates an adsorbent. By changing change-over valve 11 the air flowing to exchanger 11 enters tower 7b through valve 6a.
