Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an ozone yield change due to atmospheric temp. by dividing each adsorption tube into several stages and vertically arranging sheathed heaters and temp. sensors.
CONSTITUTION: An electric current is supplied to sheathed heaters 22a, 22b... of adsorption tube 20b. Heaters 22a, 22b... generate heat and desorb water from adsorbent 21. On the other hand, hot dry air heat exchanged with heat exchanger 8 enters the top of tube 20b through change-over valve 2 and regenerates adsorbent 21 while flowing downward. Air of high temp. and humidity passed through tube 20b is released into the air. Temp. sensors 23a, 23b... sense the temp. of adsorbent 21 and stop the current supply to the corresponding heater when the temp. reaches the set temp. When the current supply to lowermost heater 23n is stopped, a signal is sent to change change-over valve 12, and cooling air flowing through branch pipe 10 enters the top of tube 20b to cool adsorbent 21 without passing through exchanger 8. This air is then released into the air. Thus, the temp. of regenerating air flowing into each adsorption tube is made constant all the year round.
