Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep the dew point of dry oxygen always below the set value and lower the cost at the continous running by detecting the dew point of dry oxygen at the outlet and changing over the adsorbent packed tower under the adsorption to the adsorbent packed tower under regeneration.
CONSTITUTION: The oxygen to be treated goes from a 4-way valve 2a into an adsorbent packed tower 1b, where it is sufficiently removed of the moisture and becomes dry oxygen. The dry oxygen is then fed from a 4-way valve 2b. The atmospheric air is sucked from a 4-way valve 4 and is made into high-temperature air by way of a blower 5 and heater 6. The high-temperature air then goes from the 4-way valve 2a into the adsorbent packed tower 1a, where it is desorbed of moisture and is released into the atmosphere by way of a moisture cooler 3. After dehumidification, the regeneration system is made to a closed-loop by changing-over of the valve 4 and is gradually cooled by the cooler 3. When in this apparatus the dew point of the dry oxygen becomes the set value, the signal emitted from a dew- point sensor 17 operates a 4-way solenoid valve 14 through a control panel 18 to let the control air change over the 4-way valve 2a, 2b by way of an air cylinder 15, thereby changing-over the towers.
