Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform an easy work of positioning for a face plate of a tube and both simplify the work of its assembly and reduce the rate of occurrence of defective products, by not changing the length of a cylindrical member but changing the thickness of a frit glass and shifting the center of curvature of a target mirror. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of a frit glass 22 that seals a cylindrical member 2 and face plate 1 is changed, and the face plate 1 is mounted with a prescribed degree of tilt angle. An adjustment work for the thickness of said frit glass 22 is performed by spacers 23, 24 of different outside diameters (m), (n) mixed to the glass 22, and spherical glass beads are used as the spacer, for instance, one spacer 23 of larger outside diameter (m) and two spacers 24 of smaller outside diameter (n) are mixed into three places in the glass 22. By the tilt angle of said face plate 1 the center of curvature of a target 3 and mirror 11 is shifted by a prescribed value. In this way, a grinding work for the end face of the cylindrical member is not required and a manufacture work of assembly can be easily performed.
