Abstract

1500806 Cathode-ray tubes VIDEON SA 22 Jan 1975 [24 Jan 1974] 2754/75 Heading H1D Deflection units are located on the cathoderay tubes of colour television receivers by first determining and marking the deflection plane of a cathode-ray tube-e.g. the plane perpendicular to the tube axis and passing through the optical focus of the light source used in the lighthouse method of fabricating the tube screen-to provide a master cathode-ray tube; locating a deflection unit on the master cathoderay tube and adjusting for proper operation such that the deflection plane of the deflection unit coincides with that of the tube, and marking its position on the deflection unit to provide a master unit; and utilizing the master cathoderay tube for marking other deflection units, and the master deflection unit for marking other cathode-ray tubes, whereafter any cathode-ray tube and deflection unit may be correctly assembled together by aligning their markings.
