Abstract
PURPOSE: To detect the shock sound of fallen components without error, by keeping constant the shock sound detection level independently of the change in the background level.
CONSTITUTION: The acceleration meter 4 is located to the pressure vessel of atomic reactor, vapor generator, and pump to detect the shock sound generated from the components fallen through the collision of wall surface of each unit. The background noise 8 is rejected from the detected output to detect the shock sound 9 and this detection signal 11 is fed to the alarm generator 7 to produce the alarm 12. In this case, the voltmeter 16 and the microcomputer 17 are inserted and located between the acceleration meter 4 and the shock sound detector 6, the background noise level is read in with the voltmeter, it is detected at the computer so that the threshold value keeps a given difference with the noise level and the amplification factor of the shock sound detector 6 can automatically be adjusted. Thus, the accuracy of detection can be increased.
