Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the abnormal vibration without fail even though noises are large, by dividing the signal obtained from a sound detector into a vibration signal and a sound signal, and obtaining a mutual correlation. CONSTITUTION:An internal instrumentation tube 6 of a reactor is protruded from the bottom of a pressure container of a nuclear reactor. An acceleration sensor 7 is mounted on said internal instrumentation tube 6 for the reactor. The sensed signal from the acceleration sensor 7 is amplified by a charge amplifier 8, and guided to bandpass filters 9 and 10. The output of the filter 10 (500Hz-10kHz) is detected by a detector 11 and the result is fed to a bandpass filter 12 (0.07Hz-40Hz). The correlation analysis between the outputs of 9 and 12 is performed in an analyzer 13, and the result is observed on a display 14. Thus, the presence or absence of the abnormal vibration is determined.
