Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to simplify structure, by connecting the ejection diode the ejection gate electrode, which are arranged in respective sides of left and right two systems, by a conductive light shielding film to use only one king of applied voltage. CONSTITUTION:Reset voltage VR of the same value which is switched periodically to high and low levels is applied to onductive light shielding films 14a and 14b, which are arranged at interval (d), from terminal 33 at the same time. Ejection gate electrode 7 and ejection diode 6 are connected electrically to conductive light shielding 14a and 14b at connection point P, therefore, potentials of them change always with equal values. They are insulated from transfer gate electrode 2 and CCD transfer electrode 5 by insulating film 15. Thus, a line sensor with structure simplified can be obtained.
