Abstract
PURPOSE:To dissolve producing the particle size segregation of raw material in the circumferential direction in a blast furnace by rotating a hopper when raw material thrawn into the storage hopper in the bell less blast furnace top charging apparatus which uses a turning chute. CONSTITUTION:Raw material for producing iron is transferred with a furnace top belt conveyer 1 of a blast furnace 8, and, after stocked temporally in a storage hopper 31 installed on the furnace top, raw material is distributed and charged into the furnace by a turning chute 5, where the storage hopper 31 is rotated by a rotary driver 10, direct coupling gear 11 thereto and a gear 12 which is fixed to the hopper 31 and engaged with the gear 11. When the material is thrown into the storage hopper 31, the particle size segregation in the storage hopper 31 which occurs by a horizontal velocity vector of raw material particle size is dissolved in the circumferential direction. Therefore, when the raw material is charged into the furnace while the turning chute 5 is turned with a constant tilting angle maintained, the grading unbalance in the circumferential direction of raw material in the blast furnace disappears, resulting in a uniform distribution.
