Abstract

PURPOSE: To form an extra fine and condensed color pattern by a method wherein only a transferring layer is transferred on an active film layer formed on a transparent glass surface, heated and thermally printed on the active film layer.
CONSTITUTION: Active film layer is formed on a surface of a transparent glass base member by coating, drying and baking at least one of a coloid alumina, coloid silica etc. thereon. On the active film layer is transferred only a transferring layer of the transfer material having thermal transmitting coatings and then thermally colored thereon. Then, surplus remained products are removed to show a colored pattern on it, thereafter a required part including said color pattern is provided with a resist layer, processed by a sand blasting and the resist layer is removed.
