Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable multicolor printing and facilitate transfer of luster pattern by a jointing a supporting base to a protective coat having a luster pattern closely adhered thereto, the jointing being performed through a strippable supporting coat or a thermomelting release layer.
CONSTITUTION: The thermomelting release layer 12 is formed on the supporting base 11 in the shape of a mount, then the protective coat 13 consisting of a thin film (about 5W10μ in thickness) of an alkyd resin dissolved in a petroleum solvent is formed on the layer 12 by printing, and the luster pattern 14 consisting of a thin film (about 10μ in thickness) of a luster paste is printed on the protective coat 13, to obtain the transfer paper. The luster pattern 14 on the transfer paper is contacted with a preheated surface of a glass or the like, the release layer 12 is melted by heating and the supporting base 11 is stripped off.
