Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the impact force given to a vacuum switch by converting the revolving motion of a crank through a pair of links into reciprocatory motions. CONSTITUTION:When a crank 15 coupled directly with a drive shaft 16 is stopped at the position x0, links 12, 13 are tensioned by a connecting rod 14. At this time a spring retainer 9 compresses a spring 8 to cause the compression force of the spring 8 to close between a stationary electrode 2a and a movable electrode 2b through a control rod 3. When the crank 15 then rotates clockwise to move through a point x1 to a point x3, the links 12, 13 are urged rightwardly by the rod 14 to press downwardly the spring retainer 9. Thus, the rod 3 is lowered to open the electrodes 2a and 2b. When the crank 15 is further rotated clockwise to move through the point x4 to the point x5, the links 12, 13 are bent oppositely to raise the spring retainer 9, thereby closing the electrodes 2a, 2b. Subsequently, the crank 15 is moved to the point x6 to become a steady state. When the crank 15 is thereafter moved from the point x6 counterclockwise toward the point x0, the electrodes 2a, 2b are similarly closed, opened and closed.
