Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the frictional force of a sliding portion between an openable rod and a supporting frame by bearing the elastic force of a spring acting in vertical direction to the openable rod through a roller provided at a rod end by a guide. CONSTITUTION:In case a control rod 12 is driven upwardly when a vacuum switch 3 is closed, rod ends 9, 10 are so rotated that an inclining angle theta may become small around a transmitting pin 6 on an openable rod 2 as a fulcrum. In this manner a distance B1 between a connecting pin 14 and a roller 8 is reduced. As the distance B1 is decreased, a pushing spring 11 is compressed to increase the compressing force. When the angle theta becomes zero and the rod 12 is further raised, the inclining angle is increased in negative direction -theta. In this manner, the force of the spring 11 is so acted as to push the rod 2 downwardly to thus cause stationary and movable electrodes 3b, 3a to be opened. When the rod 12 is driven downwardly from the open state of the switch 3, the absolute value of the angle -theta is reduced, and if it exceeds the positions of theta=0, the switch 3 is closed by the vacuum self-closing force and the stored compression force of the spring 11.
