Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a titled separator having a large permeating rate and being operable at low pressure by a method wherein both ends of many hollow fiber tubes mutually perpendicularly mixed and packed are integratedly formed with synthetic resin to form a fixed tube plate, and the tube plate is used to surround the passage of fluid passing outside the hollow fiber tubes.
CONSTITUTION: Net 1 woven with the hollow fibers is cut to circular form, a required number of which are overlaid and contained in a half-splitted, cylindrical "Teflon" tube 7 having an inside diameter slightly larger than the outside dia. of a cylindrical tube plate 2. This allows the ratio of the effective length to outside diameter of the hollow fiber tube to restrain to less than 500, providing a structure having a plant-scale membrane area with a small device area in a simple manufacturing process.
