Abstract
PURPOSE: To control a pump to keep a constant flow rate without a movable part in contact with a liquid by regulating the injecting amount of air into a pumping-up pipe of a pump by means of an air-purge type detecting mechanism for the differential-pressure so that the differential pressure given by the water level difference between two sections in a flowrate-detecting tank may be kept at a fixed value.
CONSTITUTION: When airs are sent into bubbling pipes 12 and 13 for generating bubbles, air pressure in both pipes are proportional to water pressures H1 and H2, and consequently, their difference is detected by a differential pressure converter 16 for detecting the water level difference between sections 8 and 9 in a flowrate- detecting tank 7. An electric or air signal from this differential converter 16 proportional to the flow passing through an orifice 10 is sent to a flow regulation meter 17, and an air signal corresponding to the set point in the regulation meter 17 is sent to a regulator valve 19 via an air pipe 18 for regulating the opening degree. In this construction, the injected amount of air into a pumping-up pipe 4 is adjusted to regulate the pumping-up amount of water by a pneumatic water pump 6, and the water level difference between sections 8 and 9, that is, the flow rate at the orifice 10 is controlled to keep a constant value.
